ASSISTANT DIRECTOR: ADMINISTRATION: HIV CARE & SUPPORT

Chief Directorate: HIV and AIDS: Directorate; Care and Support

SALARY : R252 144 per annum (plus competitive benefits)

CENTRE : Pretoria

REQUIREMENTS : A three year Degree/Diploma in Health Sciences or related qualification

*Experience and knowledge in HIV and AIDS environment especially in Care and

Support *At least three years experience in working with NPOs, PLHIV structures

and/or a hospital sub-acute intervention ward on the level of Operational Officer

(or equivalent) *Programme and project management co-ordination skills as well

as financial, communication and policy development skills familiarities *A valid

driver’s licence.

DUTIES : Manage processes related to the development, reviews, revision, compilation,

printing and distribution of HIV and AIDS clinical guidelines and orientation

materials *Support the development of clinical training packages for HIV and

AIDS management, care and treatment *Co-ordinate the implementation of

palliative care services *Develop and strengthen the pre-ART programme

*Provide technical support to provinces on matters related to programme design

and implementation, training in HIV and AIDS care, management and treatment

*Support the implementation of the HIV and AIDS Care Management and

Treatment Plan *Work closely with Care and Support stakeholders to strengthen

Primary Health Care Re-Engineering *Develop and review guidelines/policies for

the establishment and management of Sub-Acute Care (Step Down Care)

facilities.
