Job Title: Executive Manager: Strategic Support

Purpose:
To provide oversight to Management and control strategic support services to support the MO and his team to achieve the strategic objectives of JCPZ through the following functions:
• Research and knowledge management
• Integrated business planning, performance monitoring and reporting
• Risk and compliance management
• Service delivery monitoring and TQM
• Intergovernmental relations.

Key responsibilities:
• Contribution to knowledge, policy and strategy, both nationally and globally
• Enhance programme implementation, service delivery and sound governance
• A high performance culture underpinned by an effective performance management system and approach
• Definition of service monitoring methodology principles
• An effective, efficient and transparent system of financial management and internal control.

Requirements:
• A relevant Business Management degree
• A qualification in Report Writing
• A postgraduate qualification in Strategic Management
• 3-5 years’ relevant experience in a similar role
• A proven track record in the successful development and implementation of frameworks and models to guide the development of strategic plans and the cascading of targets to all levels in the organization. Previous experience In facilitating planning sessions would be advantageous
• Knowledge: Legislation, ie MFMA, The company and its operations, Business planning and budgeting processes, The municipal environment, Scorecards and performance management, Financial literacy, Strategic planning models, frameworks and best practice, Organisational alignment, An awareness of political protocols and dynamics
